Lou Roman’s intense fascination with color is passionately blended in the “original California style.” She has tastefully rendered a variety of watercolor subjects and her works are found in galleries throughout the USA.
In central California in the 1960’s, Lou experimented with different media while pursuing artistic floral designs. Hands-on experience with Mother Nature, and her resolute desire to express herself in watercolor, are most triumphantly exhibited in each of her satisfying paintings.
In the 1970’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota. she began a prolific production of watercolor creations. Serene cityscape, winter scenes, and countrysides broadened her perspectives.
Lou Roman studied under the most noteworthy watercolor masters at regional USA workshops and she has painted scenes on her world travels. Her distinguished commissions are not limited to the Minnesota Governor’s Mansion. Her works were introduced globally in Hong Kong and at the Art Expo's in New York and Los Angeles.
Having spent most of her life in California, Lou continues to paint in Carmel and Monterey where until recently she had two galleries. Her wondrous watercolor dreamscapes are available as limited prints and commissioned originals.
